2. Possible processing of personal data following contact with the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth

By browsing this website, users can obtain information about the various services offered by the Organisation responsible for the website, namely the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth.

Processing related to audience measurement

Certain information concerning users’ hardware and software that does not allow them to be identified is collected when they visit the public website.

This information is collected solely for the purpose of producing website traffic statistics, such as browser type, screen resolution and approximate location, in order to better serve users.

The user’s complete IP address is never retained. Only part of the IP address is retained for the purpose of generating aggregate statistics, and this information cannot be used to identify individual users.

The data is stored and hosted in Europe using a solution provided by a processor, in particular Adobe Systems Inc., which is subject to the same legal obligations regarding the protection of personal data should such data be collected in the future.

The data is retained only for as long as necessary to monitor changes in website audiences, browsers, screen resolutions or other available statistical information.

Activity Box: information notice concerning the processing of personal data

The Eltereforum service of the Directorate-General for Child and Family Assistance (hereinafter “DGAEF”) is part of the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth and is responsible for distributing the Activity Box as part of the Ministry’s national “Sécher Digital” campaign.

Information collected through the reservation process is recorded in an electronic file by the DGAEF, acting as data controller, in order to enable the distribution of Activity Boxes reserved by children’s legal representatives at Eltereforum collection points listed in the calendar on Eltereforum.lu.

Pursuant to Article 6(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the lawfulness of the processing of personal data for this purpose is based on the consent of the data subject.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of your consent before its withdrawal.

To withdraw your consent, please send an e-mail to eltereforum@men.lu, specifying the processing activity for which you wish to withdraw your consent.

The processing concerns children and their parents or persons holding parental authority who complete and submit a reservation for an Activity Box collection slot to the Eltereforum service of the DGAEF.

Personal data collected

• the child’s surname, first name and date of birth;

• the surname and first name of the parent and/or legal representative;

• the e-mail address of a parent or legal representative of the child.

Following your request to collect an Activity Box, your personal data will be stored in a secure IT environment accessible only to staff of the DGAEF’s Eltereforum service and will under no circumstances be transferred to third parties.

Processing of your personal data will be limited to making an Activity Box available to you and its physical collection, limited to one box per family with a child under the age of three.

The collected data is retained for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes described above, in particular the reservation of an Activity Box collection slot. It will be automatically deleted within three months of the confirmation e-mail being sent.

Articles 15 to 21 of the GDPR provide data subjects with rights including the right to information, access, rectification and erasure, restriction of processing and data portability.
